Is a Funeral for the living or the dead?

Some people may argue differently, but I believe funerals are for the living to remember and honour their dead.
Funerals are a very important part of the grieving process.

The ritual of being able to say goodbye in a meaningful way, allows us to acknowledge that someone we love has died.

Funerals are also a vehicle for a community to come together to show their love for the person who has died and offer their emotional support to their loved ones.

Families often want to create a funeral that they feel their loved one would approve of and feels authentic to the style of the person who died, in a very personalised way.

Everyone will have a different opinion and answer about this and that is the wonderful thing about living in a world where everyone is different.

Have you thought about this?   Do you think a funeral is for the living or the dead?
